Planning Meeting Notes

2008

2007

A core group meets regularly, engaging in a very creative and dynamic process with each other. We are experiencing what Riane Eisler calls a hierarchy of actualization.

Hierarchies of actualization exist to get things done, but not to dominate:

  • people are empowered, not disempowered
  • accountability and respect flow down as well as up
  • input comes from all levels
  • managers function as mentors and helpful facilitators rather than as controllers
  • more leaders emerge naturally

Real Wealth of Portland planning groupOur core group has accomplished a lot since August, 2007.

In 2008 we want to help form more study groups, learn more about the caring economy of Portland, and dip our toe into the political arena.
