Dominator Model

 

Partnership Model

Scarcity (limited resources)

 

Abundance (there is enough for everyone)

Competition (for just about everything including the scarce resource, jobs, money, recognition, etc, etc)

 

Collaboration (we can work together; value in everyone having their needs met)

Hierarchy (pyramid structure with only a few on top)

 

Interconnectedness (we work together; no one has more value than another)

Government determines what is best for us and offers “choices”

 

Government is accountable to We the People; we tell government what we want

Value measured in terms of $ gleaned from exploiting people and nature (“productivity”).

 

Value measured in terms of Quality of Life, e.g. a sense of worth, connectedness, well-being, and generosity

Effects on Interpersonal Relations

Values: Me first. Aggression/domination produced by fear, anxiety, and insecurity.

 

Values: Caring, collaboration (partnership) based on feeling of security, self-worth produced by sharing and caring relationships in all aspects of life.
